VMWare – Virtual Machines on Mac OS X

2009 January 4

Unbutu 8.10 in VMWare on OS XI have installed an successfully ran 3 new operating systems on my Mac through VMWare.  Ubuntu – 8.10 and 7.x – installed a ran great.  Both are TuxDistos I found on Mininova.org. I was also able to use Boot Camp to partition my hard drive and run Win XP pro, another TuxDistro I believe.

Linux is a good operating environment. It is really easy to use inside the Ubuntu releases.  Windows is windows. My old stand by.  I am planning on trying Windows 7.  I will let you know how that one goes. From what I have read it is not much of a change from Vista.  I might try a UNIX VM, but that one is not a high priority.

Go Mac!
